I’m Tapi Nyoni. I write and produce. I co-founded 3Stage to make genuine human stories for film and television.
At 3Stage I develop and produce original IP across scripted and documentary. Our short film The Half You Hate earned festival recognition for writing and direction. Our current slate includes a documentary series celebrating Black fashion and culture, and a travel series exploring the continent’s people, places, and sound. I am also adapting my first novel and my first short story into short films and preparing the novel for publication.
My background spans set life, pitches, and post, from music videos and shorts to broadcast projects. The advertising years sharpened my discipline and instincts, but my centre is storytelling. I spend my time in scripts, treatments, casting conversations, and edit suites, shaping work that feels lived and true.
